6-12-07 Monroe Newman and his friend Bart were my guest for today. Over the weekend the seas were calm and the trout bite hot. Today was a different day NW wind pretty stiff and 2-3 ft seas. I stared out close in but only got a few so we made the run outside it was a little rough and the trout were not to be found. Headed back in and found some calmer water and fished the birds with steady action on school sized but keeper trout. Flipper came in and stopped the bite cold. Almost 11:00 now so I decided to go get some reds. It only took one stop and the guys had their limit on ice by noon. Slow morning but persistence paid off with a nice box full of fish.
