Sabine lake fishing has improved with the incoming tides the bait is also coming in with bigger speckled trout showing up on the south end of sabine lake on the reef and sabine pass channel and the louisiana shoreline in good numbers we have fished these fish all week and the weather was bad and the water is muddy but( the trout are here)we had trout to 6 lbs and good number 17 to 20 inch i am drifting 2 to 4 ft water down to the east on the louisiana shoreline best bait stanley wedgetail redshade 3 1/2 1/8 jig tiped with shrimp fish bite as the water clears to the east glow/chart reactions chub minnow is producing good trout also. flounder fishing has picked up we are boxing flounder to 3 lbs and will pickup the next 2 to 3 weeks they are coming in also. Redfish are still on the shoreline and feed on mullet we are still sight fishing them. birds have been working over schools of small trout feeding on shrimp as it warms up this is going to be great fishing in april.
