Fishing on Sabine is red hot. The fronts are slowing down and the weather is settling down. The water is clearing up on the south end and the fishing is fantastic.

I had a party out last week and caught a couple on topwater also. The smaller the topwater the better. Bone was the best color.

Low Temps Lower Tides and Fish Still Under The Birds by
Ernie Eickenhorst (11/21/2006)
We have been catching lots of trout with a few redfish under the birds when the wind allows. The best baits have been Tidal Surge Split Tails in Glow chartreuse and American Midnight on ¼ once heads. The birds don’t want to hold on the fish long so watch for the shrimp when you come up on a flock of gulls working. Hoginars have been by far the best bait for reds will fishing the birds.
