Salmon River Fishing Report 12/23/10

Merry Christmas!

The fish gods continue to shine on area anglers. The salmon river is loaded with a mix of fresh and dark fish and they are spread out from top to bottom.

White & pink egg sacks have been our top baits followed by 10mm beads and the plug bite has been good as well. The slightly stained water is keeping the fish active in spite of slush and cold temperatures.

John Cody & his wife Chris enjoyed (I think) a whiteout storm and a very good bite.

Tony Polley and Joe beat on them big time. Along with the reindeer antler hats, we had killer shrimp, venison speedies, jerky, pickled eggs, sausage, how did we find time to catch all of those fish?

Kevin Albert and Brett had a good day with plenty of action but we worked hard to get a few in the net.

Frank is at it again. He can't get enough. Another good solid day on the water with plenty of fish, some killer chili and cheese! Thanks Patty!

The Oswego River is loaded with browns, there is about 6 inches of good ice on Sandy Pond and other waters will have good ice very soon. What a way to spend some free time during the Christmas season. Get out there and enjoy some fishing with friends and family.

I am only seeing about five people a day on the river, once in awhile we see another boat. Great fishing, pretty scenery, good food, special guests, I am blessed.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

I have January 4, 7, 8, 9, 10 open if you want to join the ranks of the chozen frozen!
