Troy Creasy

Thursday February 5th 2009.

I have fished some cold days but this is one for the books.

Yep -20 at 7 AM. What kind of fool would fish? Well we tried it, took two bites, fought one to the boat and then power-rowed to the ramp. The day was a bust and it I am still cold.

Wednesday wasn't much better -13, but it was sunny, quiet and the bite was on. That really helps.

The Albany boys, Mike & Jimmy were on their game and we boated 7 out of 13. Despite the bitter cold they wanted to bite. It was real good early, but slowed as the sun got high in the sky.

They are saying a warmer weekend, and I welcome it with open but skeptical arms. A high of 40 in Syracuse means 30 in Altmar plus some good winds on top of it. Not a spring day by any means

Same deal, same program. Tons of fish in all the major holes. You just have to dig in and wait them out.

Blue sacs, beads, pink worms jigs they all work when the fish are biting.

February is about booked, but March is still wide open. Give us a call if you have the itch or love the cold.

A HUGE thank you goes out to the two people that have donated to help support our webcam We really apprecite it.
