Offshore Artificial Reefs
Short Boat Rides to the Fish!
Now that the ocean has calmed down it's time to consider spending a day at the artificial reefs. With just small pieces of cut squid or even with artificial jigs large black sea bass, blue fish, summer trout, triggerfish, red snapper, and black drum are a catching possibility. The best way to fish these areas is to stop, drop, and catch until the bite slows, and I then suggest moving to the next spot. These trips are considered short boat rides to the fish…all I can say now is "your boat or mine!"
Savannah Snapper Banks
This area is a great place to ride especially at this time. The reason being is that this is the migrating season. When this takes place all fish are on the move meaning that they sport a more aggressive feeding pattern. As we know when this happens your chances for getting a more solid hook up prevails. The fishing in this area will be great till the end of December.
