Pre-spawn walleyes, both male and female, are moving to the Camp Perry - Davis Besse reef complex and the bite will get hot really fast now. Fish from 2 to 8 pounds were taken over the weekend with the best bite in 22 -24 feet of water north of most of the reefs. Loose ice and some substantial berg were in the area along with some spooky fog conditions so everyone was moving slow and easy. This week's warmer temperatures and light rains should really heat up the action.
