Think Like a Fish!
It has been said many times "to catch a fish you have to think like one!" Well, when it comes to the large mouth bass clang that statement is definitely true, because big-bodied fish know! With keeping "thinking like a fish" in mind here's an example: When you want something to eat you always know where to go to get it! When a fish is hungry they also know! Us fishermen stand in line or wait for our food to be delivered. Fish wait where there is a potential food source. Even when a fish misses what you have offered they might back up a bit, but they will still wait. The reason being is because they know for sure that there is some sort of feeding opportunity. This all boils down to a few important things: When your delivered bait is hit, but missed by the fish you still have real serious "catching options!" Fish will wait in line for the next opportunity! Your option at this particular moment is to throw the same thing or one that's entirely different. Here's an example: If you receive a hit from a top water plug, change up, and take an opposite attack. In other words, "let the worm take a turn!" I know this sounds crazy, because it is! Just do it!
