When the weekend rolled around easterly winds had taken control. Trolling for Spanish mackerel wasn't as good as it was prior to this strong easterly flow of winds. Some mackerel both kings and Spanish were landed, but the catches drop off.
DUA Artificial Reef

Easterly winds Sunday really took hold stopping us from making any trips to the Savannah Snapper banks. However, a few boats Captain Deidra Jeffcoat "Obsession" and Captain Tommy Williams "Just Teasin" did bust their way to the DUA artificial reef. The easterly flow caused quite a bit of roughness in the sound and beachfront. However, once they advance offshore, believe it on not it was doable. In the morning they pulled 2 and 3-inch planer with Clark spoons in tow. Between the two boats "Spanish Mackerel catches did happen!" However, as the morning past the winds picked up!
