Two days of fun on the Beach. We had a fun group of guys from Texas that comes to Fish With The King every year. On Wednesday's trip I had Randy, Jay, Jeff, and Greg on board. The wind was flat and the fog thick as we left Campo's armed with some of the prettiest shrimp to be found, each and every one of them guarantied to catch fish or die trying. We fished the broken islands on the edge of Black Bay. The tide was not moving much and the action was not fast, but the Trout were nice. We made a couple of moves and kept picking away at them along with some big Reds for fun. All fish were caught on live shrimp under a cork on Okuma rods and reels. When it was all said and done we had a great box of fish in the boat. 100 Trout, 5 Reds, 6 Sheepshead, and 1 Drum.

Today, day two I had Randy, Jay, and Kurt. The guys had to get back to the lodge early so some of them could catch flights home so with this and the winds that were picking up we stayed close in. When we got to Lake Amedee the birds were diving and the shrimp were jumping. The guys started pulling in Trout after Trout. Today we were fishing with live shrimp with a light split shot. The fish did not want to come up to the cork, and would not take it on the bottom, they were stuck in the middle. We had several nice Reds that put the Okumas to the test, and one that tried to eat a Trout I was reeling in. We finished off our limits at 10:00 and headed to the house. 100 Trout, 4 Reds, 4 Drum, and 10 Sheepshead.

The fishing remains outstanding so come on down. Deluxe overnight accommodations available your boat or ours. Give us a call at 504 887 4960 or 504 881 9966 (cell). Why do anything but fish with the King...the guides with the 20 fish guarantee.
