The charters out of Wild Wings Marina near the Davis Besse power plant in Oak Harbor are taking limits on the reefs out front and the warming waters should lead to more and more action. Weekend weather forecasts are calling for light winds and warmer days which should heat up the air and the bite! Most fishermen in the reef areas are using hair jigs (some tipped with minnows) and blade baits. Trolles working the areas north and east of the reefs and the Bass islands areas tend to favor shallow-run stick baits.
