Fishing Report February 09

This month we have not been out as much as we would of like to due to high winds and seas. We have been trying to change it up a bit and have been hitting the reefs in search of Yellowtail Snapper and King Mackerel. In the last couple of weeks the Sailfish bite has slowed down a bit. This does not mean that the Sails are not around. The bite can be here one day gone the next. Its all about putting in your time. The Mahi-Mahi are far and few in between. These fish should start to make their showing again in Late March and April when the waters start warming up. As stated earlier we have been concentrating our efforts on the reef and the Yellowtail and King Mackerel have be very productive as long as there is good current and plenty of chum.
