[Kennebec River] All I can say is wow! What a season. I had record numbers of fish caught! I had seven days of more than a 100 fish boated, while smallmouth fishing on the Penobscot River and caught record numbers of land lock salmon on the East Outlet of the Kennebec River.

[Chetco River] As of this fishing report the Chetco River is running high and cleaning it out of leaves and silt. King Salmon will be on the move big time as the river drops. Lots of Kings were stacking off shore before the rain, now they will enter the river.

[Skagit River] Seeing alot of Chum salmon in the lower sections as well as a few Coho. The Lower Skagit has been producing a fair number of chum this last week, also finding a few big Coho as well. We also had a nice surprise last week and caught our first hatchery winter run steelhead of the season.

[Tillamook Bay] Tillamook Bay Fall King Salmon fishing report is need rain. Fall Kings are still being caught in the estuary and at the head of tide near the river mouths. The rivers are low and Fall Kings are stacking in these areas. Rain will bring more fresh Kings into the system.

[Penobscot River] As I stood in the shower,I thought of the money I would miss out on if I didn't work on Columbus day,double time and a half. I also thought of time I would miss out on with my boys,if I didn't take this free day off. I took the day off minutes before I was going to leave.

[Milwaukee] Milwaukee fall fishing has never been better. The west wind has moved the Alewives in from 160 feet to 50 feet and the temperature is 45 degrees at 30 feet down. All presentations are working.

[Saugatuck] Warm water and rough water was the theme for last week. We only got to fish on Saturday and even then we could not get out to the cooler water off shore because of the lake and weather conditions. The water was 67 degrees on top from the shore line to 180 foot of water and it was 65 degrees 150 foot down in 180 foot of water.

[Sheboygan] Fished this morning in 130 to 170 feet of water north of the harbor with a group that has been coming to Sheboygan to fish for the past 10 years. Caught 20 fish and lost a bunch more. All chinook salmon and one lake trout.

[Saugatuck] What a strange fall. The fall run has not yet started since the water temperature is warming up every day. This past week we started fishing in 110 foot of water (40 to 70 feet down) with the temperature 49 degrees 60 foot down, and by Sunday we had to go 130 foot down to get 58 degrees with 68 degrees from the surface down to 125 foot.

[Saugatuck] No change in the fishing!! The water is still warm in front the piers and the salmon are still staged out in 100 foot of water. We fished for a couple of hours in front the piers Sunday and managed to catch a couple of fish and then moved back off shore and caught 11 more salmon.

[Saugatuck] The salmon are here. Salmon are being taken from 20 foot of water in front of the piers out to 140 foot of water. All week we have been fishing from 60 to 110 foot of water and have been taking 12 to 23 fish per trip.

[Saugatuck] This past week was a week of changes with wind, currents and water temperature. We started out fishing in 120 foot of water, then moved into 50 foot of water when the water temperature dropped 15 degrees, moved out to 160 foot and then by the end of the week we where back in 100 foot.

[Milwaukee] The Chinooks are between 12 and 20 pounds. Coho are running up to 8 pounds. We have had good numbers on Rainbows 8-14 pounds look for them in the top 40 feet as they like the warm water in depths over 100 feet.

[Saugatuck] The salmon fishing is very good right now in 90 foot to 130 foot of water with catches consisting of 8 to 20 fish per trip. The salmon weigh from 10 to 17 pounds with a few that are in the 20+ pound range.

[Lake Michigan] It has been hard for me to adjust to the Lake Michigan fishing after spending most of the month of June catching Lake Erie's non-stop, fantastic Walleye. However I have been back now for two weeks and have slowed down to meet the slower pace Lake Michigan fishing, and waiting for the bigger Kings to get here.

[Lake Superior] Lake Superior is definitely packing in some warmer water on the from the Duluth piers out. You will find some surface temps near the Duluth entry in the low/mid 60's and driving out you can still find most surface temps to be in the mid 50's for quit some distance.
