[Miramichi River] Just when you thought they wouldn't take we had a 37 incher take. Another good day of fishing but not so good of weather for the Miramichi. But the fish still wanted what we threw at them. The weather was windy and very cold with ice pellets coming down.

[Vancouver] Vancouver Salt water Report for April 16, 2007. The temps have been cooler than normal so not out as many times as usual but the days we have been out have been quite good. Been working the South side of Bowen Island from the White House to about 4 miles South with not bad results.

[Klickitat River] Looking forward to another great season. June First will be the opener for the Wild and Scenic section of the Klickitat River. My guides our getting ready for making happy customers. This year we our limiting our trips to no more than ten customer trips. Same as always we will not mix match you with other fishing groups, you come with two people you fish only with those in your group. unless you come by yourself we then place you with another single.

[Prince Rupert] The yearly arrival of the Chinook Salmon has begun. These large and agressive Salmon are headed to the many rivers in the area. But before they do that they have to feed. I like to troll very slow with Cut Plug Herring down by the Skeena river mouth.

[Miramichi River] With fishing season soon aproaching on April 15th/2007 and the colder weather that we are having is keeping the river ice solid for the start of the season. There are a few places that you can wet a line in the smaller rivers like the Cains and Bartholomew river. The South West Miramichi has a few spots open but only a few! The North West Miramichi is still frozen solid with very heavy looking ice.We need some warmer weather or rain to raise the river to get the ice moving.

[Miramichi River] The Atlantic Salmon season just wound down and fishing was great up till the final bell. Although the last week of the season we ended up spending more time in the woods hunting for woodcock and grouse there were some memorable large salmon landed.

[Vancouver] Fishing has remained solid over the last couple weeks since our last report. We have done very well in Vancouver harbour for some nice quality fish into the mid teens. Our two charters in the last week have produced multiple keepers on both trips.

[Columbia River] What a great January. Our worst day we hooked 3 steelhead our best day we hooked 13. We averaged 6.1 steelhead per trip and that is a great number for a January.

Thanks to our Manitoba clients for toughening-it-out with no complaints- a Bald Eagle and Shore lunch with the Mountain Meadow Triple Choclate Brownies eased their disappointment...

[Shetucket River] Bright flies and hammered spoons drifted exactly the speed of the rivers' drift producing fish up to 14 lbs. Plenty of water , on average, to present deeply fished offerings is the trick this week to hooking up with a large fish. Surface and shallow water fishing has been slow with smaller fish caught when successful.
