[Miramichi River] On the South West Miramichi river the last few days has seen some very very good fishing, with fish being caught on the lower and upper stretches of the river. There has been a very good run of grilse and also seeing some very large salmon moving.

[Miramichi River] The salmon run is peaking this week, with 170 grilse and 51 salmon in the trap yesterday in Millerton, which is close to an all time record. Even the salmon are larger than normal

[Vancouver Island] The halibut fishing at the eighteen mile spot and Laparouse off of Ucluelet B.C. has been good. However the salmon continue to be close to shore which has made Barkley Sound a great destination for Coho and Chinook fishing

[Lake Ontario] Plenty of action going on out of the Salmon River on Lake Ontario for a variety of fish. Salmon and brown trout are cooperating nicely w/ an occassional steelhead and lake trout to boot.

[Miramichi River] June 30th 2007 Fishing for G.R.Colford & Sons on the South West Miramichi on Friday evening was very slow. We saw only 2 salmon roll at Bounds Pool. The water temp was 68 F. Carl Hallihan with sport did manage to get there heart started when they hooked into a Shad

[Miramichi River] June 29th 2007 On the Lower stretches of the SW Miramichi on Thursday the water was a bit dirty and a little high. The temp was 66 F which is not to bad. Some fish were moving about in the morning.

[Miramichi River] It was a very nice day on the Miramichi today. The water temp 62F and still a bit high for the Main South West Miramichi. There was a fresh grilse caught today by Abbre Buggy of Renous on the Renous River. Some reports of fish seen around the lower stretches of the Miramichi today aswell.

[Miramichi River] On the of the Main South West Miramichi today the river was rising and made it very difficult to catch anything this morning. The water temperture was 59F and still clear even tho it was rising fast. Guide Gary Colford and Sport Jim Haughey hooked a couple brook trout. And they also hooked a Shad for a few seconds. There were very few Shad showing tonight but there was alot of small trout feeding.

I started the day at 5:10am fishing at the mouth of Cains River with the moon still in the sky, And got 4 nice brookies around 12 to 14 inches. There was still lots of trout around that I could see rolling about. I also fished a couple other pools downstream and had no luck the rest of the morning.
