Big frog-caught bass on Guntersville Lake!
Big frog-caught bass on Guntersville Lake!

Time is getting near! If you plan on fishing the Snagproof Frogs Big Bass Tournament to be held Saturday, August 14 on Guntersville Lake!

* You need to go to www.snagproof.com and register.

In this huge, annual tournament you can fish with snagproof frogs only. There are more ways that one to fish a frog! See the rules at their website www.snagproof.com

Frogs are some of the bass favorite meals on Guntersville Lake!

Every bass on this lake has consumend a frog or two in its lifetime and during the summer months fake frogs can be the lures to fish for some very big bass!

But be forewarned. Do not come to this big bass factory with light tackle outfits.

Many anglers fish frogs with heavy monofilament line in the 20-30 pound range, or some anglers prefer braided line in the 50 pound range, while others swear by florocarbon line in heavy line test.

Long rods of 7-8 feet assure a good hook set and these outfits coupled with a fast retrieve reel help anglers horse big bass out of some very thick weeds.

The tournament will consist of hundreds of anglers. So plan on being there very early and staying late...that is if you get a check for your big bass bag of Snagproof Frog caught bass!

Good Luck and I'll see you there!
