My charter Mr. Auguest and son had a great half-day trip of non-stop action for bass and blues. The deeper water off of Gloucester harbor proved to be loaded with dogfish and we had to move into shallower water to keep away from the vicious dogfish. The move was a good one and after a short time of chuming we brought both bass & blues under the boat.A nice 43" fish was landed by the young ladd and dad picked up a couple more. The bluefish came in and really got the action moving and we continued to land both bass and blues until we all had sore arms, what a problem. The fishing just outside of Gloucester harbor has been excellent over the past few days but you may have to move around some to avoid the dogfish.Nice fresh herring chucks are the bait of the day.
