As always during late July and Aug when our Bass Guide Business Dies and the big

fish start biting. The past week has been as good as it gets for artificial

fishing. I've had no trips so I've been enjoying catching these big fish by

myself. Rattle Traps and a Texas Rigged Bitters June bug Blue Tail 7.5 inch

worm have been the best producers. Pictures in this report are today July 27

2011. I lost count after 30. Best 5 weighed 29 pounds and I'm sure I had 15

between 5 and 7.8. I called my wife Jackie to meet me and take the pictures at

the ramp. These were the second best 5 that weighed 25 pounds. I released the

biggest 5 after weighing. All fish were returned to the main river shell bed

where they were caught. Water temps dropped down to 80 degrees with all the rain

and clouds the past couple days.

I'm running a special for Aug 50.00 off all 4 and 6 hour trips artificial only.

Thanks from Capt Ed Bussard
