Report For Last Week Of Dec 2010

The past week we have seen again some very cold weather pass through Central

Florida making December 2010 the coldest December in History.

The first week of 2011 is looking great with lows in the 50's and high's in the upper

70's this is just what these Florida Bass need a good warming trend and me too.

I have done a few trips the past week on the days we could stand the cold weather.

The fishing has really been on and off but with the weather turning around next week

I expect big changes over the next few weeks. With the full moon coming in on

Jan 19th I expect to see these fish head shallow to spawn as we have already seen

a few fish on beds the past two weeks. The artificial bite has been tough with the water temps hanging in the upper 40's and low 50's and it has taken a wild shiner to get these cold fish to bite but with the warm weather moving in things will change

fast over the next couple days.

The water level on the St Johns River is LOW LOW.Right now we are 20 inches

below the water level we had last year at this time.Watch your depth finder as

I have seen areas in the main River Channel with less the 2 foot of water and slowing

down in these areas can cause a lot of damage to your Prop and Lower Unit.

I would like to take this time to Congratulate one of my best clients Mr Gary Clark

of Kissimmee FL on winning the Bass Challenger 2010 Trophy Bass Of The Year

with his 13 LB Trophy Bass Caught here on the St Johns River on Feb 23rd 2010.

We had some fish come very close to Mr Clarks with a total of five Bass over 12 LBS in 2010.
