The St Johns River is showing what Trophy Bass Fishing is all about.

Today the water temps finally hit that magic number 61 degrees

and these fish fired off in a big way.

My clients Kent Sommers of OH and Mike Nichols OK could not have booked

there two day trip at a better time. From the first shiner that hit the water this

morning it was non stop action right up until we headed in at 2.30 pm

I have no ideal on the total fish count for the day but Mike had a beautiful

11 pounder and Kent was right behind him with a beautiful 10 pounder.

Mike and Kent are longtime clients of mine and both have caught fish with

me in the past over 10 pounds but never in the same day.

I think all three of us will have a hard time sleeping tonight thinking about

what could happen tomorrow on the second day of this two day trip.

Large Flats off the main river with 4 ft of water seems to be the key to

catching these bigger bass here on the St Johns River.

The St Johns River is only minutes from Orlando, Disney World and Daytona

Beach.
