We have been spending a lot of time on charters the past few months live baiting with greenies and pilchards on circle hooks south in the St. Lucie Inlet area. These charters require an early departure at 6 or 6:30 am so I can purchase them before they sell out and not waste time catching baitfish. Also these livebait trips have a 3 person max. Snook bite has been strong on most days with some large jack crevalles, cubera snapper and tarpon in the area too. We have caught snook over 40" and this trend should continue thru mid-October.

Tripletail and black drum are starting to show up again after a slower than normal bite in June and July. We are currently at 56 tt's for the year and should break the 100 mark by years end. Live shrimp the past week have been small or non-existent which happens every year at this time but by the second week in August, we should be back to normal.
