Last week was slow during the beginning of the week with the bigger fish really moving up later in the week. The first few days were hit and miss on numbers and quality. As the week went on the fish realy moved up with Friday and Saturday catching 40 fish with a 9lb 1 oz and 8lb 13 oz being our big fish. One day we had best 5 30 lbs and the next we had 28lbs. It seems like the lures doesn't matter catching fish on jerkbaits, traps, spinnerbaits, Big Bass Baits soft plastics, shallow and deep crankbaits, and Choo Choo Jigs. The main thing is fish staging areas where fish are moving to right before they go on bed. The seem to be in groups according to size which is fun when you start catching 4-6 lbers. The fishing should only get better as more fish keep moving up. I have days open in May.
