Fished that last 2 days with some great kids who where out hitting the water before school gets fired back up in a few weeks. We had a ball and caught some nice fish also. All fish came from 4 to 10 feet of water on jigs, worms and some topwater. The only bad thing about it was I had pulled a muscle in my back which had my hips all out of whack and I had to fish wearing this hot back brace just so I could stand up.

Also I want to congratulate a couple clients that fished with me last Thursday. They fished the adult and junior tournament - championship that went on last Friday and Saturday and finished 6th place over all. They stuck to the game plan and ran all the areas that I showed them while we was out and fished the spots weather we got bit on them or not. I had told them that just because we didn't get a bite on them now doesn't mean that you won't get bit on it tomorrow. Below is the email he had sent me just letting me know how things went.

Hey man - we had a great time with you this week, and I have to tell you that every path you led me down was spot on. We had almost 20# yesterday and finished 6th.

You are only the 2nd guide I've ever fished with in my life, and I have to tell you - I was impressed. 1st class...and right on the money with the info. I'll do anything I can to help your bz - testimonials, you name it.

I referred you to some of my friends and they should be booking you soon. I didn't share any of the specifics of where we fished, but gave him some general info. They are wanting some help learning the lake, so I highly suggested he book you and ask you not to take him to the spots, but to show him things around the lake and what to look for.

Last, wanted to tell you where we caught em. We weighed in 2 more 3.5's on day 2 from under the secret spot - all jig bites right beside that one brown leaf. Caught a 5# out of the smaller mat - both of our 5's came from those two grass beds we started on, both were on jigs also. I also know that two other guys that made the top 10 were catching a few out in front of those two. I flipped up a couple 3.5's in front of those beds also. Like I said, the info was spot on.

Thanks again Curt - I'll book you again no doubt, hopefully next year. Talk with you soon.

Just thought that I would pass that along , it sure makes you feel good when you get emails like that.
