Saltwater fishing equipment is subjected to a very harsh environment. A combination of the suns UV rays and salt water corrosion can quickly ruin even the best products. Basic maintenance will ensure many pleasurable days on the water. Boats by far and away are typically your biggest investment. A well kept boat is fun and retains value which can be thousands by time you decide to sell if not maintained.

I can't say enough great things about Woody Wax products. Late Sunday I applied my second application of Woody Wax non skip deck wax. Its amazes me how easy this is to apply and how truly outstanding it works. Its mackerel and king mackerel season which means blood and baits parts will be all over the boat. Clean up has never been easier nor has the deck ever been so tacky and not slippery. Take your deck brush spray a small amount of non skid deck wax on the brush then brush it in, rinse and you are done. Results are immediate as you will see the water bead up.

My Pathfinder is washed thoroughly after each charter; I use only the Woody Wax Ultra Pine boat wash. Great smell and cleans like crazy, use only a small amount as it goes a long way.

Now that the boat is spotless its time to wax the hull and topside areas without non skid. Sunday I used Woody Wax Carnauba glass topside and hull wax. This was the first time I have used the spray on Carnauba wax and it did not let me down. Spray, wipe with a damp cloth, let dry then buff with a soft clean towel. You will be impressed both by the ease of applying and the results.

Next I will be attacking my tower, stay tuned I will let you all know the results.

A boat is a big investment; take time to take care of your boat properly. It's easy with great spring fishing to want to be on the water and not doing maintenance but it will pay off in the long run. Check Woody Wax on the web at www.woody-wax.com
