It was a cold windy day with tempertures on reaching 60 degrees left Carolina Beach, N.C. at 8:00 am temperture was 45 degrees and cold.Anchored up just North of the Bald Head Island Ferry entrance in 20' of water. Bite started out a little slow, the 8 year boy asked when are they were going to start to bite, I replied, fishing is sometimes like Christmas, you have to be patient. I was right with in minutes he caught his first fish, the bite contiued to improve with all 5 rods getting hits, the bite lasted about 3 hours.Lot's of fun for the child,he stated he had been fishing before, but this was "real fishing."
