Only 2 Striper boats out today, myself and Capt. Mike on the Gambler...Headed south as my deckhand Chris had the day off and played scout for me. Got a call that the sky was black with birds off Sea Bright. Headed down with our 9 fares to kick some butt!! Could see the life in the radar from 6 miles away, the anticipation was killing me wanting to be there now! Naturally as we got there it was the end of the tide! Had a shot of some small fish, worked off to deeper water, NG. Had to run further South to the next good shot of life..Very good action for the rest of the morning. Mostly short fish, but we did box a handfull of keepers. Landscaper Billy had his 2 keepers in the AM. Ran back to the North as the bite died and found some good life around Scotland.....Good ole' Bert put on a fishing show landing 3 keepers plus his 16 pound pool fish to finish out the day. Anchor Joe got his limit and Billy had a shot at 2 beauties, but they unfortunatly spit the hook....almost looked like the fish Hammer lost 2 days ago!! Very cold in the AM and we made a ton of Ice on the way out...it doesn't get any better than this!!! Capt.ron
