Haven't had a Scotch since going to the Hospital a month ago...today changed all that!!!!! The horrible conditions of the past few days still haunted us today! Had the last of the outgoing tide up on top in the channel and the flood on the bottom, not a pretty picture with a boat load of customers. 12 ounces went out like there was no weight at all. 4 rod rental actually emptied the spools, so the first drift cost me $25 in line, $12 in rigs! Ran down the beach figured off Sea Bright would be perfect..saw Capt.George on the Angler making a major move, stopped the boat right there, knew that wasn't the answer...gave him a quick call and he confirmed...NG!!! Caught shorts off the Highlands, ran back to the channels. Luckly we had a drift we could deal with, had to keep the boat straight to avoid further dissaster but we did end up catching some fish. Pool fish was a nice 6 pounder. The end of a tough day came when I had to pull an english hook outta Amy's finger, I guess SLACK OFF means Yank Harder!!! I'm pretty sure I have 1,000 yards of Spider wire and Power Pro in my wheels after the past few days.......Capt.Ron
