Knew this morning the channels, W/hard current and NE breeze, wouldn't be the place to start out. Had to test the patience theory once again. Fished the bay picking on some shorts and a handfull of keepers, traffic got way to crazy to even attempt staying there. Headed for the channels and the change of tide. Still crappy conditions with a slider, but the bite turned on!

John Froelich, my star fluker of 2009, once again had his limit, plus another pool fish for the third time this season!! John has gotten used to the bucktail, spro, gulp setup and in two short seasons has become a master at it. How many other guys can claim 3 limits this season?

Would have loved to see the Shrimpman test his skills today, but he had a higher calling....hope it paid off.

Bluefishing last night was very good, one drop, all gaff size fish! The bite is on finally after one hell of a July blight!!!! Come on down. Capt.ron
