New the channels wouldn't be the answer first thing in the AM. Pretty good roll with the last of the outgoing and after yesterdays start, wanted to look elsewhere. Ran offshore hitting some snags and rough bottom, not a good float there either but we managed a dozen keepers and some nice sea bass. Waited till 11 am and headed back to the North. Got there just in time to start going in with the tide and wind from the South. Good fishing for the rest of the day..still way too many going back but we did manage a nice catch of keepers. Jerry Krakow..the younger of the Tom and Jerry team landed the pool fish at 5 1/2 pounds..Rocco had 3 nice keepers while his son Joe spent the day on the bench, out too late last night. He did redeem himself though with a nice keeper at the end of the day!! Capt. Frank had excellant Bluefishing last night for a good group of customers...out tonight, but I'm a little leary with the South wind, roll and outgoing tide, don't think it's going to be too nice!! Sept. 7th is the end of the 2008 Fluke season, not many chances left to win the big pool. Leader so far is Bill Horne with a 10.4 pounder, come on down!! Capt. Ron
