"JOESKI" boated the first official keeper of the 2009 season today, 31 inch 15 pounder to take the lead in our Big Pool contest....Trust me, it was all downhill from there!! Made a few drops in the ocean, waited for the change of tide and still no good...ran to the back bay and found the bait again, just nothing feeding in it....didn't have the readings like yesterday either.

Weather looks like crap for the next two days. With all the rain and runoff predicted, I'm sure it will be toward the end of the week before anything happens with the bite. Water still pretty cold, sinkers were like ice cubes.

Afternoon fishing starts this weekend: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 3:30 till 9:30pm for Stripers. Capt. Ron
