After 2 days off, I was ready for some Bass fishing....weather report called for some wind, but with the outgoing, new it wouldn't be a problem. Hit our first drop only to find the current still running to the bow, we did pick at the fish, especially the guys in the bow! High water was 8:05 and at 10:00am we still had current running in!! Made two drops, caught some nicer fish on the second drop. Left the area after the tide change when the bite died. Took a bit of a ride, found a nice reading anchored up and picked away the rest of the day. Those that caught them, caught them good, yet some guys, my Dad included, never had a bite!!! Go figure...Tom Krako had the hot hand landing 5 nice fish including the pool fish at 19 1/2 pounds. Ron Solin had 3 along with Fireman Dave. Chief "Circle Hook" Valentine made his usual contribution to the cause along with Paul Smitko. Nice day of fishing. All bait as the jig fish of yesterday were no-where to be found!! Capt.ron
