Started out this morning offshore on some hard bottom, thought maybe the roll had laid down enough to get the bite going. Going out the channel I thought, conditions will be perfect, no heave, a good drift, today's the day!

Got to Scotland and out of no-where comes the left over heave from that Bastard Bill!!! Caught a couple Fluke and a few Sea Bass, not the bite I anticipated.

Ran to the Mud Buoy and some more sticky stuff… a keeper right away, couple sea bass then a stroke!

Decided to check out the great bottom from 70 to 40 ft. at the Rocks. Once again, not enough life to stay there. Fished around some wrecks and snags power drifting, caught fish, not enough and lost too many rigs.

Last shot effort at the change of tide, a few prayers and some lit candles finally found a bite!! Plenty of keeper Sea Bass, some keeper Fluke, a bunch of short Fluke for action and a half assed reward for paying my dues!! Vinny,"Vintastic" had 3 nice keeper Fluke and a half dozen keeper Sea Bass for High hook. Pool fish went 4 pounds.

Couldn't take hanging in the bay and working the channels for another day, had to search for something better, even if it was wrong…..Think I made the right choice today though. Capt.Ron
