Much better catch today. After chasing the bird life, bait and fish that didn't want to bite, we took our 10 customers and went clamming. Looked around for a 1/2 hour before we found a scratch that looked like Bass. Anchored up and had a one to two on, slow pick the rest of the day. 12 fish went 27 inches!! The rest were keepers. Best day out of the past 6...Still trying to get everyone to use 20lb. test leaders, that's what works, 40, 60 any of the crap you buy in the tackle shop ain't gonna make it. Way too many customers try too prove us wrong and catch squat, unless you consider Dogfish, sea robbins and skates a success! Plenty of fish around, plenty of bait, if the rain fish would go away I'm sure the action would be 100 percent better. Very frustrating to stop on readings that look like the whole boat would be hooked up and only see 1 maybe 2 fish on the drift. Naturally, we go through this every season, when the water temp gets right and the fish start to feed like there's no tommorow, the reports will be much better...For now, were busting butt to do the best we can...Capt.Ron
