So far, the walleye bite this fall on Little Bay de Noc is nothing short of excellent. The water is still dirty and stirred up from the high winds and rain we have had. But the dirty water has made for a real good daytime bite. And if you can smoke them during the day, why bother at night! Center Reef looked like a christmas tree last night with all the boats working it over. My brother Kenneth did an afternoon trip yesterday leaving the resort here at 1:00 pm and getting back just after 10:00 last night. He and his clients caught half their fish on spinners and crawlers before switching to cranks for the last 3 hours of the trip. Here is some video and a picture of yesterday's catch.
