This report com,es from Eric Capetta et al who went out on the Finattic last week with Capt Scot Leger and Buddy.. Hey Scott...well I'm sure Leger told you that we banged up the Tuna pretty good...It was outrageous!! Leger showed up ANGRY at the tuna...like he hadn't caught one in a month! The first night bite was a little slack on the yellows, but we caught blackfin and bonita until nobody could stay awake any longer. Leger and I stayed up and caught flying fish off the back of the boat in the lights...then the next morning the yellowfin turned on and we were doubled up from 5:45 A.M until 1:00 that afternoon straight! Uncle Tony even put a whipping on a tuna!! The bite let off a little bit at 1:00 but we were still putting tuna in the boat. Our boat limit was 27 tuna, and at 5:00 P.M with 23 tuna in the box, Uncle Tony said "Let's head for the snapper hole" I butchered and packaged well over 1000 pounds of tuna yesterday. We also had Dolphin, Snapper, Amberjack, tilefish, and a lone grouper. The second picture attached has Leger on the far right. I'll be in touch later in the week about the Grand Isle trip / weather. We are ready to go (although I personally am still pretty freaking sore!) Hope all is well with you,
