Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 3/5/2022
The warmer outside temperatures increased the water temperature considerable this past week pushing the fish one step closer to the spawn and increasing activity tremendously this past week. We had days of over 20 fish bring smiles on my boat for sure add in some big fish and all is well. I really enjoyed the warmer outside temperatures as its been a cold winter compared to some years past.
Baits were all about a few new baits from my sponsors, Tight Line jigs has come out with a new color called Guntersville Flash in their Swim jig and Bladed jig and it has produced greatly for me in their ½ oz. jig. Missile baits has also come out with their Quiver worm and its showing great signs of being a consistent bait catcher for me as the fish move into their spawning beds. I also caught fish on SPRO’s Aruka shad rattle bait especially over the flats of eel grass where reaction baits produced greatly for me.
