Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 5/22/21
This past week one would have thought we returned to March as fighting the wind became a big part of every day on the water. It finally warmed up, but 20 to 30 mph wind put many inexperienced fishermen at a disadvantage, casting skills, leg strength and mental fortitude were all part of having a successful week on the water as we fought the wind every day!
Baits for the week were fairly limited as the bite has been all about slow presentation most the week forcing you to fish Missile Bait 48 stick baits, D-Bombs or Tight-Line football jigs keeping contact with the bottom in order to get a bite. The first 30 minutes did offer a little chasing with Picasso spinner baits but past that we had to slow down to get a bite.
