Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/3/19
When we get into August, we are generally seeing the slowest month of the year; time will tell whether that holds up or not, but so far, the early forecast seems to suggest the August heat will have its affect on the fishing. We are catching fish the number of bites is down, the size is small so far, but it’s a long month and only a short sampling so far, but we’ll see!
We are still looking for top water action where we are fishing Zara spooks, pop-r’s and Picasso buzz baits, we are also fishing the Tight-Line swim jig rigged with Missile bait swim baits, and big worms. We are fishing 8 to 10 ft. of water around grass and cover.
