Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 10/1/11
I spent every day this week on the water, fishing just about from daylight to 3 o'clock or later. The fishing proved to be better in the afternoons except for Monday where the morning bite started with a four good fish on four casts on a frog! The heavy rain hit somewhere Monday about 1:00 pm and it made for a wet windy afternoon on the water.
The lake was full of tournament anglers as the FLW plus many other anglers were practicing for their respective tournaments, coming up weekend after weekend over the month of October.
We caught fish on several baits over the week, with a variety of top water baits being the best producer; with crank baits and Tight-Line jigs also producing fish. It was a good week the best of the fall so far, and there is plenty more to come with October being one of the bes months of the year!
