Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 1/26/13
If you have not been on the water since we have seen the winter weather set in you missed an opportunity to have a great time as this past week was some of the best of the winter fishing so far this year. I think the little warm up we had moved the fish up to feed some and being on the water at the right time paid great rewards.
We had one day on the water this past week where we had a 25 pound plus sack of best five and put a bunch of fish in the boat over a short day on the water. That trend continued most of the week with the exception of just one day where we had a north wind and the fish appeared to be shut down for most of that day!
On Feb 2 the first Bill Lewis rattle trap tournament if launching out of Goosepond Colony, I expect some big sacks for the top contenders as the bass are responding to the rattle bait real well especially during warm part of the day. Come fish with me I have days available during the next several months and would enjoy fishing with you!
