Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 3/24/12

This past week on Guntersville was great for numbers; we caught many fish every day and had some big smiles from customers. As is pretty typical when the numbers are up the size suffers a little as we really didn't have any big fish this week, but we caught plenty of them!

The bass have migrated to the shallows and a big wave of them is spawning, and I expect this will continue for several weeks. You have a choice this time of year fish the shallows for bites and take what you can get for size or try to find the bigger fish and this can be tough until we start seeing a post spawn pattern.

Most are bites have been on soft plastics with the early bite but when it's been windy we caught them on Punisher Spinner Baits and Pro Assassinator clacker's spinner bait. Fishing is good; we are having plenty of fun, you're active all day long and wore out by the end of the day!
