It has been a great week weather wise and fishing wise. I have had several trips that were good'

Still looking for some of those larger Trout but the Flounder bite has been great. Lots of nice fish and few big ones mixed in. I have also been catching plenty of Trout in the 15 to 17 inch range.

I haven't really been fishing for the Reds much lately because everyone is looking to catch some Flounder. Can't blame them because Flounder are very good table fair!!!

I do know there are plenty of Rat Reds in the creeks and some over sized ones in the river. We have been hooking a few while fishing for Flounder and never came close to boating them. My guess is they are in the 15 to 20 pound range.

I'm starting to see the birds picking up scraps from schools of mostly Trout feeding on bait pods in the river. Like I said most of the Trout are in the slot but no monsters. You can put the float rig away and throw plastics catching 20 to 30 Trout and if you're not keeping any they are returned unharmed.

Well enough out of me this week and I'll have some new reports next week. I have a little surprise to report about a gigging trip from a night ago. Lets put it like this the biggest flounder ever gigged on my boat was stuck the other day. I'll have that report and pictures at the end of the week.
