November is a great month for inshore fishing, red fish are schooling up in the backwaters from Aripeka to Chassowitzka. A good moving tide is producing great action for bait fisherman. Live green backs, pin fish and shrimp fishing around mullet schools and structure such as mangroves, oyster bars and rocky banks will produce great red fish action. Trout are in shallow water now as well target water depth of 1 to 5 feet look for grass bottom with sand holes, the trout like to sit on the edges of the sand holes and ambush bait as they pass by. Also target around kelp grass aka rock grass. Live bait will work great but using artificial lures like the Mirrodines 17mr in the 808 and 50 color work very good. Or a popping corks with a soft plastic bait about 2 feet under the bobber with a 1/8 ounce jig head for soft baits the mirrolure little Jon's in white and root beer are my favorite. Snook are heading into the back creeks top waters plugs and live bait is the way to go.

The shallow water grouper bite is off the hook. Target rock and ledges in 5 to 10 feet for some monster gags grouper. Dead bait such as frozen threadfins will do the trick. Lures are my favorite way to catch grouper in shallow water. I like the Rapala magnum 10 in fire tiger, mullet, red and white and red and orange colors.
