The creek fishing has been on fire for several weeks now. The Red fish are everywhere and very eager to eat. The size range is from 15 inches to 30 inches and all between. The bait hasn't been an issue at all. Crabs, shrimp and mud minnows have all worked

Some of the schools of fish I have been on are holding well over 30 fish. The Flounder are also starting to stack up now even though they are a little late I guess better late than never!

On a trip last week I was able to find some decent Trout in the 17 to 20 inch range. They are also starting to show up in the river. Float fishing with live shrimp has always worked well for me but if you like artificial the crank baits and top water baits are just as good. I find that the higher out going tide works the best early in the morning or late in the evening.

Bio: Being a native of Northeast Florida I have enjoyed the excellent fishing and wildlife this area has to offer. I have been fishing the Jacksonville Florida area over 30 years with many a memorable fishing trip starting when I was a kid. We are in between and only minutes away from Amelia Island and St. Augustine, we can enjoy the fishing any direction. From downtown to the mouth of the ocean and all the back water in between.
