No shortage of wind the last 4 days in fact Monday and Tuesday 26th and 27th were some of the windiest days this year. Blowing from the West it has had the tides very low.

There have been plenty of Rat Reds in the creeks and some slot size fish also chewing. The Trout are still trying to show up and the larger fish should be here anytime. Our water temp is still right at 70 degrees.

When it starts moving up steady then the fishing will also follow. I caught some Lady fish along with some Blue fish the other day which tells me that the spring run is starting.

The Spanish that were at the jetties for a few weeks have moved on but I expect them to show back at anytime.

Still not seeing a whole lot of Flounder but I did slip out late last week before that big blow and stuck a few Flat fish. I was also able to get the gig in a Sheepshead that night. I expect the Flounder to come rolling in anytime also and I can't wait…

Bio: Being a native of Northeast Florida I have enjoyed the excellent fishing and wildlife this area has to offer. I have been fishing the Jacksonville Florida area over 30 years with many a memorable fishing trip starting when I was a kid. We are in between and only minutes away from Amelia Island and St. Augustine, we can enjoy the fishing any direction. From downtown to the mouth of the ocean and all the back water in between.
