The fish are still biting at Lake Lochloosa although the size is not what it used to be.I took Terry Hutchinson and his Granddaughter 13 year old going on 20 Reilly fishing Friday. We started out at daybreak catching fish from the start with rain and wind spoiling the day somewhat although these two anglers came to fish and put on the rain gear and acted like the sun was shining. We pulled dbl.baits on Vicious Hi Vis Panfish line on Wally Marshall rods of different lengths as to not tangle our lines by stagering them out the back and trolled at approx 1 mile per hour which seemed to be the catching combination. By 1:30 we had kept thirty crappie weighing anywhere from 3/4 to 1 pound each. The true highlight of the day was the honor of taking Granddad and Granddaughter fishing. If you would like to take your Granddaughter fishing this would be the lake to do it,if you don't have a boat or gear give me a call .
