Now is the time to get your fill of Lake Trout here on Crow Lake. The trout will be found shallow usually suspended above weed beds on reefs. We use perch patterned jigging spoons just above the weeb beds. This must mimic the perch/shiner bait found there.

It is a great time to fish Lake Trout because they have moved shallow and can be located more predictably. Fishing shallower structure. When the ice in the bays first goes out in May 8 or so, this will be the best time to catch numbers of shallow Lake Trout here on Crow Lake.
