Had a couple of real nice half day trips during the week. We used live bait and produced some very nice bass. Seven pounds seemed to be a common weight for the larger ones. My clients and myself were aiming for larger ones. But, we do not throw stones at seven pounders.

The weather has made a positive move. It is in a nice "headed for summer" tend. We are seeing calmer winds in the morning. Get to the lake at safe light and the winds are calm. Also, the wind, when it comes, is starting to come out of the SouthEast. This trend will clear up the South end of the Farm. It is almost time for topwater action to start. That based on when the top water action started last year.

The water temperature is several degree warmer in Garcia. Therefore the topwater action should start sooner in Garcia than in Stick Marsh or Farm 13. Remember, the bass are smaller in Garcia. The most exciting topwater action will come when it starts at Stick Marsh and Farm 13.

Wild shiners remain as the best opportunity to catch a large bass at this time. We had a dab of rain. This will help some. The bite gets a little better when there is some overcast. Do not be caught moving the boat when a could hides the sun. This little bit of darker condition has been turning the bass on. It is predictable!
