The morning started off with heavy fog and limited visibility. While slowly picking our way through the fog, we ran smack dab into the middle of a school of blitzing fish we decided not to waste the day playing with bluefish, so we resumed our journey and left them blitzing.

Once anchored on our first drop we all enjoyed almost non-stop action we caught just about everything the reef has to offer.

Ended the day with 17 nice sea bass, 7 big ling, and 1 keeper fluke in the box while releasing at least a half dozen tog. Many of the tog were keeper-sized, including the largest estimated to be ~7-8 lbs, a short pollock and to many short sea bass and bergals to count.

Fished the the Rocks, the Reef, 17 Fathoms, a couple of small inshore wrecks, and the Scotland Grounds. We found fish just about everywhere we looked, but unfortunately the short sea bass and bergalls were plentiful enough to make it tough to get through to the bigger ones before our baits would be stolen.
