What a difference a day makes. Yesterday's bite was pretty good, not great, but we caught a fair number of fish with most of them being keepers. Today's half day trip with Marcia and Jim was much tougher. Marcia landed a beautiful 27 incher to start the day...and that was it for quite some time. I made a move north to some warmer water and just before we were scheduled to come in we started to get bit. We ended up landing three more keepers and lost several fish in the last hour. I would imagine the water warming up got them feeding better. We were also away from the big crowd of boats too. All that boat noise out there definitely plays a roll in the mood of the fish! Most of our bites this morning came on Walleye's Choice harnesses trolled behind bottom bouncers. Keith has some awesome new color patterns this year and they are definitely working!!! Of course we did get some bites on the old stand-by's I-62 and I-42, but I-68 (a new color) was producing just before we had to head in. Hopefully we can get them some more fish on tomorrow's half day trip!
